What's wrong with living with my father at 42? My boyfriend just dumped me.?

i could understand having a problem with you living with your parents all your life. just because you have a job doesn't mean you have a taste of the real world. most people want a person that knows someone isn't going to take care of the house and cook for them. if you can't live on your own at age 40 then why would he want to try moving you to a whole new environment? i hate to tell you this but you're old. it's hard for older people to suddenly get used to someone different. you can't expect your dad to take care of you until you get married. you should be able to do it yourself. being a single mom doesn't give you an excuse. you should have made better decisions. there are plenty of single moms that don't live with their parents. then you say it's easier to live there. life isn't about doing whats easy it's about doing what you have to do. so far you don't really seem to have any experience with that.
