I abandoned my mother-in-law at a truck stop?

My mother-in-law is 67 and widowed. She wouldn't shut up about knitting socks and Wheel of Fortune so I dropped her off at a desert truck stop with her purse in the car and sped off. Am I a good son-in-law?
