Which opioition should i trust?

i had a serous road accident on the 10 of jan this year and as a result of the 87km impact i received lower back and neck soft tissue damage as my own GP disgnosed. He refered me for x rays in March but nothing showed up in them. my solister refered me to a his own ordepadic surgeon and had requested all my files from the crash for his report.After seen the private surgeon he recommended an MRI scan and counelling as ive been severly depressed since the accident.When i went back last thursday to see my doctur he wasnt impressed with the 2nd opition and said it wouldnt saw up on an MRI and itd be a waste of money.im still out of work and stilll realy stiff 4months later.Should i trust my own GP of 23 years or this private consultant who was nice and listend to what i said??Im 23 and noot sure what to do please help
