Why does Yahoo allow & help censorship?
Is it censorship when someone who doesn't like / agree with a question or answer flags it as a violation of yahoo's TOS? And is it censorship by Yahoo when even after you "appeal" and prove you asked a question or that your answer was valid yet yahoo keeps it deleted? Also how is it fair for yahoo to delete simply because someone flags it without even looking into the claims? It seems outrageous that yahoo doesn't even verify a claim just deletes it. It seems unfair that someone could flag a question or answer they don't like or agree with & have it deleted even if its a valid question or answer. Someone literally could ask a question what's your favorite color & if you say purple and someone doesn't like it then they just click report and claim it's not an answer & boom question &/or answer is deleted. I read a question last week about the Yankees & boston baseball team rival & the next day it was deleted for a violence. I guess my biggest issue is that yahoo doesn't even investigate a claim unless someone appeals and even then they don't. Why does yahoo make it so easy & condone people abusing the violation reporting feature to censor people simply because the reporter might disagree with an answer or question? Obviously people enjoy pushing ons but you can also usually tell when someone is generally asking a question for a valid intent and not doing it to stir up trouble or be offensive yet one click a general selection like "not a question" and boom the question & all answers to it are gone.
